This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you visit this site or reach out to me. It is short, because there is not much to explain - this site was built to send you to a real conversation, not a form.
1. What this website collects
One form, and nothing else. This site has no account sign-ups, no newsletter capture, and no analytics. Every “get in touch” button on this site - WhatsApp, email, Instagram - hands you off to a service I use personally, outside of any code this website runs.
The exception is the indicative estimate form. If you use it, I collect your name, mobile number, email and the property details you enter, to work out your estimate, email you a copy, and reply to your request. The form passes them straight to the client records system I use for my practice; this website does not keep a copy. I record that you agreed, with the wording you saw and the time. I will only call, text or WhatsApp you about selling or market updates if you tick the separate, optional box for that, and your estimate never depends on it. If a request does not lead anywhere, I delete or anonymise it after 12 months.
2. What happens when you reach out
Tap WhatsApp Karen and your phone opens WhatsApp with a message addressed to my business number, +65 8983 1338. Tap Send an email instead and your own email app opens, addressed to hello@karenashleytan.com. Follow the Instagram link and you leave this site for instagram.com. In every case the conversation happens on that platform, not on this website - nothing you type passes through any database or server this site controls.
In short, this site runs:
- No analytics.
- No ad pixels or tracking scripts.
- No cookies.
- No account, login, or saved preferences.
3. Who those messages belong to
Once you message me on WhatsApp or by email, that conversation is carried by WhatsApp’s and your email provider’s own systems, under their own privacy terms. From there, I handle it the way any licensed salesperson keeps client conversations - in my own phone and inbox, used only to help with your property search, and not shared with anyone outside the transaction (developers, banks, lawyers, where relevant) without your knowledge.
4.The one piece of “data” this site does publish
This site tells search engines who I am - name, phone, email, the languages I work in, and my agency, ERA Realty Network - using a standard structured-data format. That is public business information already shown on this page and in the footer of every page on this site. It is not information about you, the visitor.
5. Cookies and tracking
This site runs no Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising script, and it sets no cookies. The only client-side code here is a small scroll-animation effect (fading text in as you scroll down the page) - it does not read, store, or send anywhere any information about you.
6. How long anything is kept
Messages you send me directly are retained in my own WhatsApp and email accounts, for as long as they are useful to helping with your property search - the same way any real estate professional keeps client records. This website itself has no separate storage of its own to retain anything in.
7. Your rights under the PDPA
If you have messaged me through WhatsApp or email, you have the right under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act to ask what personal data I hold about you, to ask me to correct it, or to withdraw consent to being contacted - at any time, no reason needed. The same applies to anything you sent through the indicative estimate form. These requests go straight to me.

9. Changes to this page
If what this site collects ever changes - for example, if a booking form or analytics is added later - this page will be updated first, and the effective date above will move.
